Our Reading Party is tomorrow (Fri, Jan 28) at Skatetown in Enid. Students in 1st-6th grades who completed their first semester Book-It goals will travel on the bus to Enid and skate from 1:00 until 3:00.
The school will pay for regular skates and a snack up to $2.00. Students who want to rent roller blades will need to bring an additional $1.50. Money for games or more snacks is optional and is the responsibility of each student.
Students not attending the party (including Pre-K & K-5 bus riders) will go in the van to Skatetown to meet the bus and van for routes. The afternoon bus/van schedule will be as follows:
- Skatetown pickup – 3:00 to 3:10
- Bus @ OBA – 3:20
- Bus @ Locke – 3:35
- Van @ Lake Hellums – 3:25
- Van @ Midway – 3:35
- Van @ Hillsdale – 3:45
*IF YOU PICK UP YOUR K-4 OR K-5 STUDENT AT HILLSDALE THEY CAN BE PICKED UP AT 2:30 (NO LATER THAN 3:00) ON THIS DAY.
Hillsdale has a home basketball game on Wednesday (Jan 26) at 12:30 against Garber. Concessions will be available.

The HCS Eagles will be playing home basketball games on two days this week: against Ringdale on Wednesday (Jan 19) and Hunter-Pond Creek on Thursday (Jan 20). Games begin at 12:30 on both days, and concessions will be available.
Come watch the games and cheer for our school!
On Monday, January 24, a representative from the Chautauqua Council will be at school helping to make a part of history come alive for students. She will be portraying Mary Draper Ingles, a Virginia settler who was captured by and subsequently escaped from Shawnee Indians in 1755.
Presentations will be held at 1:00 and 1:45.
The Hillsdale Christian School Speech Meet is Friday, January 14, at 9:00 a.m. Parents are welcome to attend.
