The HCS Speech Meet is Friday, January 27, for grades 1-6. The contests will be held in the regular classrooms, and parents are welcome to attend. (There will be opportunity to enter/exit classrooms only between Speech Meet categories.)

• 9:00 a.m. – Judging begins in each classroom
• 11:10 a.m. – Lunch (K-2nd grades)
• 11:40 a.m. – Lunch (PreK, 3rd-6th grades)
• 1:00 p.m. – Awards Assembly for speeches
    
• Dress code: girls wear dresses, skirts, or nice dress pants/shirt;
  boys wear dress pants and nice, tucked-in shirt

 
Parents, if you would like to join your child for lunch, please RSVP by Thursday, January 26.
The menu includes Chick-fil-A nuggets, fruit, chips, and a drink for $2.50.

The Parent-Teacher Fellowship meeting that was scheduled for tonight (Tuesday, January 10) has been cancelled. The next PTF meeting wil be held March 13.

Hillsdale provides daily hot lunches to students at a cost of $2.50 per meal. You can check the Latest News and Updates on the Welcome Page for any occasional alterations to the regular menu.

READING PARTY
The party is Friday, January 6, at Skatetown (1-3 p.m.) for 1st-6th graders who achieved their Book It reading goal. Pre-K and Kindergarten will NOT be attending the party, but they will leave school at 2:30 p.m. on Friday to meet up with the bus at 3:00.

Entry and skates are free to the Book It students. Any students who would like to purchase snacks/drinks or play games will need to bring extra money.
