James Hoffsommer – Administrator
Mr. Hoffsommer has been in the education field for many years serving in both the public and private school settings. After attending Oklahoma State University he obtained his Masters Degree from Phillips University in Enid. He taught and was the principal of the Kremlin Hillsdale public middle school before founding Hillsdale Christian School in 1982. Mr. Hoffsommer and his wife, Jeane, have raised four children in the Hillsdale community and are active members of Hillsdale Bible Church.

Donna Thomason – Pre-Kindergarten
Mrs. Thomason has taught Pre-K at HCS since the fall of 2006. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education Degree from Auburn University. She has seventeen years of experience working with children in various capacities. Donna and her husband, Pat, have two children and are active members of Temple Baptist Church.

Patty Means – Kindergarten
Mrs. Means began teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten at HCS in 2003. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from the State Department of Education and a Standard Certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International. Patty and her husband, Maxie, have three grown children and are active members of First United Methodist Church in Cherokee where she teaches Pre-K and Kindergarten Sunday School.

Jenifer Lloyd – 1st Grade
Mrs. Lloyd began teaching at HCS in 1997. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from the State Department of Education and a Standard Certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International. Jenifer and her husband, Royce, are expecting their first child in January 2009, and are active members of Hillsdale Bible Church.

Amy Eckhardt – 1st Grade
Mrs. Eckhardt recently graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from SWOSU. She and her husband, Kyle, will be moving to the Enid area in December and she will assume a full time teaching position at HCS in January 2009. Amy is looking forward to moving and starting her teaching career.

Gretchen Streck – 2nd Grade
Mrs. Streck is returning to HCS after leaving the area for 10 years due to her husband’s pastoral duties. Prior to their move she taught 1st and 2nd grades for eight years at HCS. She graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Gretchen and her husband, Leland, have two children and are active members of Hillsdale Bible Church.

Amy Campbell – 3rd Grade
Mrs. Campbell began her teaching career in the fall of 2000 at HCS. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma State University and holds a Standard Certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International. Amy and her husband, Troy, have three children and are active members of Faith Center in Meno.

Renae Haymaker – 4th Grade
Mrs. Haymaker began her teaching career at HCS in 1997 teaching both 3rd and 4th grades. She attended Phillips University on a basketball scholarship and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Athletic Coaching. Mrs. Haymaker also holds a Standard Elementary Certificate from the State Department of Education as well as a Standard Certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International. Renae and her husband, Drew, have been married for five years and are active members of Davis Park Christian Church.

Linda Kodesh – 5th & 6th Grade Language Arts, Music
Miss Kodesh began her teaching career at HCS in 2006. She attended East Central University in Ada where she obtained a degree in Elementary Education. She was hired as the music teacher for the 2008-09 school year. Linda is an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and has a love for missions spending several summers abroad serving as a missionary.

Bobby Tennell – 5th & 6th Grade Math and Science,
Assistant Principal
Mr. Tennell has been teaching since 2000 and joined the HCS staff in 2002. He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the Oklahoma State Department of Education and a Standard Certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International. Bobby and his wife, Kathryn, have two children and are active members of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Emily Buller – Physical Education & Basketball
Mrs. Buller joined the teaching staff of HCS in 2008. She attended Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas where she played basketball and obtained an Associates Degree in Business. She has been an assistant coach for a local high school girl’s basketball team for three years. Emily and her husband, John, have three children and are active members of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church.

Melanie Gray – Computer, Librarian, Spanish,
Director of Development
Mrs. Gray has been teaching at HCS since 2006. She has an eleven year background of working in the field of finance and with network computer systems as well as many years of serving on various community service committees. Melanie and her husband, Rusty, have three children, and are active members of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Brenda Hoffsommer – Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Hoffsommer has been on staff at HCS since 1995. Brenda and her husband, Steve, have two married children and two grandchildren with another due in January 2009. They are active members of Hillsdale Bible Church.
