Lindi Kelly – Administrator/Principal

Mrs. Kelly received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Florida and a Master's degree in Education, specializing in reading, from Texas A&M. She earned her certification as an Academic Language Therapist (CALT) at Southern Methodist University's Language Therapy Program and has over 7500 clinical teaching hours. She has over twenty years of elementary classroom experience and worked as a Certified Academic Language Therapist/Dyslexia Specialist for the Rockwall (Texas) Independent School District for the past seven years.

Mrs. Kelly and her husband, Mike, live in Hillsdale where Mike serves as the pastor of Hillsdale Bible Church. They have three children: Michael (20), Forrest (15), and Madison (13).

Brenda Hoffsommer – Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Hoffsommer has served at Hillsdale Christian School since 1995. She is excited to be a part of what God does at His school each year.

Mrs. Hoffsommer and her husband, Steve, are blessed to have their two daughters and their families living close by in Hillsdale. They love spending time with their three grandchildren and are active members of Hillsdale Bible Church.

Donna Thomason – Pre-Kindergarten

Mrs. Thomason has been working with children for over 17 years. She believes that each child is a gift from God that has been created uniquely, and that God gives each child different strengths and weaknesses for the purpose of furthering His kingdom.

Mrs. Thomason does not view what she does as a job, but rather as a ministry. Her prayer is that God would use her as He sees fit to share His love and to instill the love of learning in each child that she comes in contact with. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education Degree from Auburn University.

Amy Voth - Kindergarten

Mrs. Voth is leading our Kindergarten program until November. Kindergartners are so full of curiosity, creativity and energy, and Mrs. Voth is excited to get to share hands-on activities that challenge them to think and ask questions. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Ministry from Moody Bible Institute.

Mrs. Voth and her husband, Phillip, have four children.

Natalie Thomas – Kindergarten

Miss Thomas graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has a true passion for children and helping them become life-long learners.

Miss Thomas loves the Lord with all of her heart and strives to bring glory and honor to Him in all that she does.

Carol Perry – 1st Grade

Mrs. Perry recently graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Early Childhood. She had a dream of teaching for many years and once her own children were grown was able to make it a reality. She worked with younger children for over 20 years through Sunday School, VBS, Jr. Church and childcare in her home.

Mrs. Perry did her student teaching at Coolidge and McKinley Elementary schools in Enid. An Enid native she and her husband, Jim, raised their three daughters there, and are active members of Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church. They are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren.

Gretchen Streck – 2nd Grade

Mrs. Streck and her husband, Leland, have two children. Ricky is a Senior at Kremlin-Hillsdale and Carissa is a fourth grader at HCS. Mrs. Streck graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. This will be her tenth year to teach at HCS. She is a member of Hillsdale Bible Church, where she is currently the Jr. Sunday School Assistant and sings in the choir.

Mrs. Streck is thankful for the opportunity she has to teach at HCS. It had been a dream since she was a child to become a teacher. She loves the freedom that she has at HCS to talk about the Lord and share with others the things He has done in her life over the years.

Sally Stevens – 3rd Grade

Mrs. Stevens has 23 years of experience in teaching both in public and Christian schools. She and her husband, Tommy, are life-long residents of Enid, and have four children and three grandchildren. Mrs. Stevens holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Education from Phillips University. She is certified in both administration and teaching grades 1 – 8.

Mrs. Stevens loves teaching children in a Christian environment and seeing the joy of the Lord’s handiwork everyday! She and her husband are active members of Willow View Methodist Church in Enid.

Amy Eckhardt – 4th Grade

Mrs. Eckhardt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She began teaching at HCS in January of 2009 after moving to Enid. Mrs. Eckhardt has always wanted to be a teacher and enjoys seeing that childhood dream revealed. She is very excited about the opportunity to teach 4th grade this year. When she was in elementary school 4th grade was her favorite year and she hopes that will be the same for her students.

Mrs. Eckhardt and her husband, Kyle, live in Enid with their dog.

Linda Kodesh – 5th Grade Homeroom
5th & 6th Grade Language Arts

Miss Kodesh began her teaching career at HCS in 2006. She attended East Cetneral University in Ada, Oklahoma where she obtained a degree in Elementary Education. Her teaching philosophy is summed up in Proverbs 9:10 which states, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” As a teacher, her prayer is that Jesus would receive glory through her life and the lives of her students as they passionately learn, grow, and serve the one true God, our Creator and Savior – Jesus Christ.

Miss Kodesh enjoys singing, playing the piano and guitar, running, and playing sports. Miss Kodesh is an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and has a love for missions having spent several summers abroad serving as a missionary.

Bobby Tennell – 6th Grade Homeroom
5th & 6th Grade Math and Science

The 2009-2010 school year will be Mr. Tennell’s eighth year at HCS teaching Math and Science to both 5th and 6th grades, as well as Bible, History, Spelling and Health to the 6th grade. He believes that students in the 5th & 6th grades can achieve above and beyond their age, but only if those expectations are place upon them. Working together with teachers, students, and parents, he places high expectations on his students in all areas, not only academically, but socially and spiritually.

Mr. Tennell and his wife, Kathryn, have two children – Braden, who will be two in October, and Emma who is in Kindergarten at HCS.

Nancy Dillard – Music Teacher

Mrs. Dillard is a “retired” music teacher having taught for 33 years in public education in Texas and Oklahoma. During her career she has taught band and vocal music to all ages as well as elementary art, math, language, reading and junior high health. Nancy attended both NOC-Tonkawa and SWOSU in Weatherford where she received her BME.

Mrs. Dillard loves the Lord and music and uses the talents that He gave her by playing in the NOC-Enid Community Concert Band and Jazz Band, is the Protestant musician for the Chapel at Vance Air Force Base, and helps with choir rehearsal at the Assembly of God Church in Enid.

Mrs. Dillard is a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she plays in the orchestra and sings in the choir when her schedule allows. She also teaches the third through fifth grade Children’s Choir. She has two daughters and five grandchildren.

Emily Buller – Physical Education/Basketball & Track Coach

Mrs. Buller received an Associates degree in Business and played basketball at Hesston College, Hesston, Kansas. God has given her a passion for sports and children. She feels that she has been given an incredible opportunity to share this passion with the students at HCS, and encourages each child to do their best in all activities and to have fun.

Mrs. Buller and her husband, John, are extremely proud of their family “team” – Jessica, Samuel, and Jacob, and are each other’s biggest fan. The Buller’s are active members of Enid Mennonite Bretheren Church.

Renae Haymaker – Discovery Program

Renae Haymaker has taught at HCS for 12 years. She is beginning a new program called "Discovery" this year. This program implements several core techniques to strengthen students’ weaknesses who may not learn as well in a "classroom" setting. With these techniques students will build confidence in themselves.

Renae and Drew have been married for six years and have a 4 month old named Jesse who has Down Syndrome. Jesse is a wonderful blessing from God and is already defying the odds.

Melanie Gray – Media Center & Director of Development

Mrs. Gray joined the HCS staff in 2006 after being an HCS parent for many years. She enjoys the opportunity that she has to spend time with each one of the children and see them grow physically, academically, and spiritually. Christian education has been and continues to be an important part of her family’s growth, and she is very thankful to be able to be a part of that experience here at HCS.

Mrs. Gray and her husband, Rusty, have three children and are active members of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
