Steve Hoffsommer

Superintendent and High School Principal

Steve Hoffsommer has 48 years of experience in Education. Ten years have included Administration. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He is also certified to teach History. He has a passion for HCS and the students.

He is married with 2 daughters and their husbands and four grandchildren. He is a member of Hillsdale Bible Church and Gideon’s International. He also participates in prison ministries in the area.

Elementary Administrator/Middle School History

Mrs. Haymaker is a 1996 graduate of Phillips University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. She served HCS as a classroom teacher for 12 years. She is a certified Educational Therapist through the National Institute for Learning Development. She completed her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2013. Renae and her husband, Drew, have a son named Jesse. Jesse has Down Syndrome and has a smile that will melt your heart. The Haymaker’s attend Hillsdale Bible Church.

Leland Streck

Spiritual Life Director

Leland Streck has one great passion: to see others gain, grow in, and glorify Christ. He is a graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State (1989) and Dallas Theological Seminary (1998). He has served as a pastor in SD and NE, and presently serves Zoar Church in Goltry, OK. He also assists with the youth ministry at Hillsdale Bible Church. He enjoys writing and has authored two books (Pressing On… When You’d Rather Press Stop and Looking Through the Straw) and is currently working on a commentary of the Harmony of the Gospels. He is married to Gretchen, and is the father of Ricky (and Shelby), Ryan (deceased), and Carissa.

Mrs. Spencer has been a part of Hillsdale since 2015. Before coming to Hillsdale, she spent 16 years educating her children at home. She and her husband Steve have three daughters, one still at home. They also have 2 amazing grandchildren. She enjoys baking, photography and spending time with her family.

Pre-K

Mrs. Coffman has been working with children for 39 years. She believes that children are a gift from God. Jermiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” She and her husband, Tony, have 2 children, Stacia and Nick. Mrs. Coffman and her family are members of Oakwood Christian Church where she and her daughter teach the 3’s in Sunday School. She enjoys music, movies, reading, being outside and loves popcorn. Mrs. Coffman absolutely LOVES working with children and is very thankful and excited for the opportunity to teach at HCS.

My name is Angie Wegener and I am so honored and happy to be a part of HCS this year. I live in Enid and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I’ve been teaching for many years but love each new group that comes my way. I look forward to meeting new friends and making connections with all of you!

Jenifer Lloyd

1st Grade

Mrs. Lloyd graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught 1st grade at HCS from 1997-2008 before her two daughters, Mia and Sadie, were born. She came back to HCS in 2014. She is excited to bear witness to God’s work in the lives of the Hillsdale Christian School family. Mrs. Lloyd and her husband, Royce, are members of Hillsdale Bible Church, where they help with the Youth Group. She also enjoys watching movies and sports, traveling, and planning parties for friends and family.

Gretchen Streck

2nd Grade

Mrs. Streck graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She began teaching at HCS in 1990. After moving away from Hillsdale for 10 years, she returned to HCS in 2008. She is a member of Hillsdale Bible Church, where she is the Jr. Sunday School Superintendent and helps with the Youth Group. She and her husband, Leland have 1 son, Ricky, a daughter-in-law, Shelby, and 1 daughter, Carissa. Mrs. Streck is thankful for the opportunity she has to teach at HCS. It had been a dream since she was a child to be a teacher. Teaching about the Lord in a school environment is a winning combination!

Sally Stevens

3rd Grade

Mrs. Stevens had 23 years of experience in teaching both in public and Christian schools when she began teaching at Hillsdale Christian School in 2009. She and her husband, Tommy, are life-long residents of Enid, and have four children and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Stevens holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Education from Phillips University. She is certified in both administration and teaching grades 1 – 8. Mrs. Stevens loves teaching children in a Christian environment and seeing the joy of the Lord’s handiwork everyday! She and her husband are active members of Willow View Methodist Church in Enid.

Mrs. Granberg holds a degree from Harding University in Elementary and Special Education.  She lives in Enid and attends the North Garland Church of Christ where her husband, Erik, is a minister.  They have six children.

Linda Kodesh

Linda Kodesh

5th Grade

Miss Kodesh began her teaching career at HCS in 2006. She attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where she obtaine​d a degree in Elementary Education. Her teaching philosophy is summed up in Proverbs 9:10 which states, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” As a teacher, her prayer is that God would receive glory through her life and the lives of her students as they learn, grow, and serve the one true God, our Creator and Savior – Jesus Christ. Miss Kodesh enjoys music and sports, and she is passionate about making God known through worldwide missions.

Mr. Tennell has been at HCS since 2002. He believes that students can achieve above and beyond their age, but only if those expectations are placed upon them. Working together with teachers, students, and parents, he places high expectations on his students in all areas, not only academically, but socially and spiritually. Mr. Tennell and his wife, Kathryn, have two children – Emma and Braden.

I graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in elementary education. I am certified in grades 1-8. I have taught in Oklahoma, Texas and China for a combined ten years of teaching experience. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach at HCS. My prayer for my students and myself is that God will use our time together in the classroom to mold us into what He desires for His Kingdom purposes. 1 Corinthians 10:31 “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do (English class!), do all for the glory of God.”

I’m a mom of 4 boys. 3 of them will be attending HCS this year. I’m so excited about being the PE teacher. I’m looking forward to preparing the next generation of Eagle athletes.

Mr. Watkins

Matt Watkins

PE Teacher/Coach

Matt is married to Christie, his wife of 25 years.  They have three daughters.  The two oldest are in college and the youngest is a student at HCS.  Matt’s children have been a part of the HCS family since 2004.  
 
Matt focused on giving God the glory in athletic competition as a young man.  He earned a scholarship with the Oklahoma State University Track and Field team. Matt has a BS in Industrial Technology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. 
 
Matt is currently the Pastor at Nash Christian Church in Nash.
 
Matt is excited to be a part of the HCS Athletic Department as Coach and PE Teacher.  His goal is to help every student realize their full potential using the unique talents God has given them and to use that talent to glorify God.  Matt has a passion for competing for Christ – to help others know Him and make Him known! His motto is: “Compete to win – win for Christ!”

We would like to welcome Cindy Davis, our new HCHS History teacher.
Mrs. Davis joins us after serving the past 3 years at Enid High and several Texas schools. She is a graduate of Tyler Junior College (Associate’s Degree) and Stephen F. Austin (Bachelor of Science). She offers HCS over 35 years of experience. She enjoys reading, playing the piano, sewing and studying the Bible.

Terry Sacket

High School Math

Mr. Sacket has joyfully been working with young adults for 42 years. For the majority of those years he has been teaching AP courses in physics, chemistry, environmental science, computer science, and biology.  Through those classes, he has instructed students on how to apply a range of advanced math concepts.  

He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a BA in Natural Science of Education and Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Master’s in Natural Science Education.

Terry and his wife DeAnne attend SonRise Fellowship. They have a daughter and two precious grandchildren, one of which is attending Hillsdale Christian School.  

He is eager to share his love for Christ and how the Lord has constructed His creation through mathematics.

DeAnne Sacket

High School Science

Mrs. Sacket joins us after serving as a Science teachers at Enid High School. She is a graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University (BA in Natural Science of Education) and Southwestern Oklahoma State University (Master’s in Natural Science Education). She brings to HCHS 36 years of teaching experience. She enjoys reading, playing with grandkids, and exploring God’s creation through science.

Mrs. McMullen grew up around the Enid area. She graduated from Central Bible College in 2013 with a Bachelors Degree in Christian Counseling and Psychology. She attends Central Assembly of God where her husband Matt is the youth pastor. They have two children, Bear and Jasper who attend HCS. She enjoys camping with her family and baking.
